It was quite lovely and I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a place that is central.
We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Neat and clean, but the only not-so-nice experience was that upon arrival my booking did not show on the system. Having to contact the booking agent from the website who was extremely helpful. The R200 fee which you have to pay upon checking in is a bit on the downside for me as they want you to pay cash (which nobody walks around with) or pay by card and this will then be refunded after seven working days. The parking system can also be better managed.
Friendly helpful staff from the moment I checked in until I checked out. Neat and clean rooms. Couldn't have asked for better.

The stay was fine. We really enjoyed it. The hotel needs to fix the following: 1 Do not disturb tag because someone just entered my room when I was sleeping. 2. Snacks that are in the room prices are unreasonable, imanging 500ml of water with the price of R30. I bought this on the flight with R15. Please fix this.
I would happily recommend it if you need a place to stay in Cape Town CBD that doesn't break the bank and yet provides high-quality service and accommodation. Even though in the CBD with a somewhat bustling nightlife about, one didn't hear much or anything of it and had a great night's sleep. Loved the smart-looking porter and the ice machine and shoe shine machine in the lobby was a funky addition. The parking on the first floor was a bit of a steep incline if you don't want to leave your keys with parking attendants on the ground floor - I think a car with a towbar might scrape so that's something to keep in mind. Overall, it was a delightful stay and I look forward to returning at some point.

My experience was good, the staff was friendly and the food was great. I also liked the location it is very central to all amenities.
Friendly service. Breakfast was nice. Rooms are neat, clean and comfortable. Our visit was during the week and we slept well. The area was safe with lots of security walking the streets and very helpful.
Nicely located accommodation. The buffet breakfast and the excellent waitron's service was a winner. The restaurant, while cosy and romantic, was overpriced and the food was sadly not up to scratch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back.
Had a great stay, breakfast was delicious with a large selection. Remember covered parking is R100 p/day extra which I feel was very reasonable. Then there is also a R200 deposit per room if the "cashbar" is used. You get it back if you don't use it. Preferably take the R200 cash with you, as it can take up to 7 working days to be refunded if you pay with your card.

It was fine until I had to check out. I was suspected of stealing a towel and no one has yet apologized or said that the towel has been found. It was very unprofessional.
Make sure you have R200 cash for the deposit. The hotel does not refund your credit card.
On check-in we were upgraded to a loft suite which was perfect as we had direct access to the pool. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate so we did not get to enjoy it. We had a smooth check-in process and a peaceful stay.

The reception was literally screaming to a client over the telephone, right in front of me and this happened before checking in. Me and my wife went out for a few hours and once we got to the hotel, we usually did what all the clients did and just showed them the Access Card, but was told to give it to the front desk so they could rerun my details to check if I was actually staying at this hotel.
It was great to stay at Cape Town Lodge hotel though they show a pool not mentioning that its Closed due to winter weather. Otherwise everything was cool. And the room 736 the back door doesn't close properly and was making noise whole night.
I highly recommend them.
Perfect location for city centre activities, pubs and restaurants. Friendly staff and the shuttle was convenient and well-priced for a group of us. Onsite bar was great. Breakfast buffet needs work, most of the food even in the warmers was cold, not worth the R150. Room, bathrooms and shower also need an upgrade. 4-Star hotel and amenities but 3-star rooms, but for the price and area it's well worth it.
We really enjoyed our stay. The bedding in particular is great quality. Large and comfortable room. Perfect for a night out in Cape Town.
Room service told us to come collect our items. They sent someone to the room I stayed in to do a security check like I'm a thief, the television has no updated movie channels, housekeeping was very grumpy and the worst is their bed is so terrible.
Parking was a bit tight and we will even try the restaurant next time.

Very neat hotel with friendly staff. The room was perfectly clean and they made sure I got a room with a nice view. My only disappointment was that the TV in the room is not up to standard at all. There were only a few channels on and most of the channels' picture was so poor you couldn't watch them.
Other patrons were a bit noisy in the early hours of the morning. Probably only settled at 04:00 or 05:00. We decided to leave at 07:00 because we could not sleep after 01:00.

The hotel made things so much easier and more comfortable in many ways! The three superior double rooms we booked were wonderfully spacious, very neat, clean and a nice interior, with everything we needed!
Indicated on the website that we will require a baby cot, but when we got to the hotel, we were told they were not told to put one in. Had to wait until the next day for it to be set up. The rooms were clean, but the windows were not. I assume it was because of the wind and the rain on the previous days, but it made the view from the 8th floor look blurry.

They have to be more specific on what you need o have upon arrival, I was so shocked to hear that I must have my ID upon arrival.
The hotel is nicely located in the safe part of the city centre. Walk across the street and you are in the Bo-Kaap! Easy access to all attractions, very clean, modern and tidy. The rooms on the 9th floor have the best view and rooms are very comfortable! Restaurant has live jazz musicians every night and the reception is always helpful and very friendly.
The third time we stayed there. It's central and affordable accommodation for a visit to Cape Town.
House rules should be clearer on the website, especially the R100 for parking!

Some staff members were really outstanding. 2 ladies that assisted us were super professional and friendly. Their names are Rose and Amanda. Hotel room was very clean.

Positives: Free Wi-Fi (website mentioned you will need to pay for this). 9th floor swimming pool. In-house restaurant (Famous Butcher's Grill). Negatives: Booked a Superior room with a king-size bed, but got a double bed instead. Cocktail bar being advertised by the pool, but there was none (even on the in-room TV on CH 6 they still advertise the cocktail bar by the pool). R100 per day for underground parking. Parking is a nightmare and if you happen to park on Level 2, then you dread going to your car to fetch something as you need to walk up a 60 degree angle ramp. No cocktail being offered at the ladies bar. No aircon in the hotel! There are airconditioners in your room though.
Fantastic stay and didn't expect the hospitality with such short notice of bookings.

Cape Town Lodge is the perfect, affordable hotel for a quick stay or business trip. The location is in the CBD and surrounded by other buildings, so you don't have much of a view if that is what you wish for.
The booking was handled in a short amount of time with out any hiccups, the stay was comfortable.
Only slept one night. Hotel was neat and clean and service was brisk as I expected. I really have nothing to complain about. Thank you.
We really like the location of this hotel. On the red bus route, easy to get on the major roads and easy to book Uber. Our roads always wind back to Cape Town Lodge Hotel.
The staff was very polite, the room was bigger then expected, value for money.

The bedding felt really clean. Loved the king size bed! I had to pay a R200 deposit, which i did get back when we left. I do understand the reason for the deposit, it just would've been nice to know that before we checked in. I don't remember seeing it.
Niks oorhoofs fout nie, maar ons was vas onder die indruk dat ontbyt ingesluit was. Verder paar klein goedjies soos net 2 koffiesakkies wat omtrent onmoontlik was om oop te kry. Het bespreek vir een aand maar hul bespreking was vir 2 aande. Ontvangspersoneel wel baie professioneel.
